Both The Louisiana Regional Chili Cook-Off and The Louisiana State Chili Cook-Off events are sanctioned events by the International Chili Society (ICS). There will be a limit of 25 teams in both competitions, but the Regional must have 20 or more cooks (or it will constitute a District Cook-Off). These events are held in conjunction with the LSU Horticulture Department plant sale that is held at the Parker Coliseum next door to the Chili Cook-Offs.
