Louisiana Chili Cook-Off

Audubon Kiwanis is offering your club several opportunities to share in a fund-raising project with us. The event is an International Chili Society sanctioned event, the Louisiana State & Regional Chili Cook-Off. The State winner can go to the World Competition and has an opportunity to win as much as $30,000. The Chili Cook-off will be held in conjunction with the LSU Spring Garden Show in the Parker Coliseum with 5,000 attending a day and a Classic Car Show. There are three ways you can participate with us in this project - Pre-sold event tickets for a percent of sales, setting up your own booth at the event to sell something, and by volunteering to help with the event for service hours. The following are the details of this offer:


1.    Ticket Sales-

    1. Pre-sold tickets are $5.each and for your club we are offering $1 per ticket for the first 100 tickets that you sell. Any amount above 100 tickets that you sell $2 per ticket goes to your club.
    2. The tickets will be issued to one person in your club or organization and that person is responsible for the money and unsold tickets being returned by March 19.We include ticket rosters in your packet for record keeping.     3. The tickets are to be sold with the stub attached. At the door the day of the event the guest keeps the stub for the door prize drawing.
    4. On event day the $5 tickets will be exchanged at the door for                                     6-$1 chili dollars. All guests are able to enter and purchase Chili Dollars for food, drink, & goods.

2.   Food-Information-Goods Booths- Kiwanis Family + Non-Profits-

    1. You may sell food, other goods, or advertise your club’s fund raisers
    2. All Chili Dollars collected event day will be turned into Audubon Kiwanis and you will receive 80% of your sales and OLOL Children’s Hospital 20%- contact Rae at raephill@msn.com or (225) 571-9076.

3.    Volunteer for service hours

a.       Come out – have a good time- volunteer and help with the many jobs needed to put on this Chili Cook-off competition.
